Awards
The Construction Development Alliance (CDA) host’s an awards evening every two years to award five young construction individuals for their hard work and determination in the construction field.
If you know of an exceptional young construction individual, why not nominate them today?
As construction professionals, when we look back at our College and Uni days it brings a smile to our faces.
Thinking of those days is there a person you remember that helped you though some tricky assignments? That person who helped, scolded and praised you.
We all have one or more.
With out their help would you be where you are now?
But what does your experience have to do with helping young people?
Simple, by supporting their hard work as someone had done for you.
A great way to do that is by nominating them for one of the awards.
This is where the Construction Development Alliance (CDA) come in, with their biannual Young Person in Construction Awards.
Now is the perfect time to show your support and nominate that construction student, apprentice, or young professional.
Are they 16-25 years old?
A UK citizen or permanent resident?
Studying or working in the construction industry?
If you can say yes to these questions, you have no excuse not to nominate them now.

- Overcoming Adversity
- Young Apprentice
- Young Construction Professional
- Young Construction Environmentalist
- Young Designer
Nominations are open and close on the 20th of April, 2023.
After this date, nominations will not be included in the lineup for Young Persons in Construction awards 2023.
However, nominations made after the 20th of April 2023 will be logged, and the nominator may be contacted for the following awards in 2025.
Guest host
The guest host for this year’s event is Charlie Luxton, Architect and TV presenter of Building The Dream on More4, along with the award sponsors; Charlie will hand the award to the winner.
