A delict industrial barn has been granted planning permission to be converted to two new dwellings at Longshaw Head Farm, on the moors, to the northeast, above Edgeworth village.

The existing barn was described as an “abject eyesore”, and the proposal, designed by Hawthorn Design Partnership, was praised by councillors as “an excellent design” and as “exemplary” redeveloping this redundant building into luxury moorland homes in this Green Belt setting.
